Also - I wanted to ask you something.  The gentlemen I bought the chairs and some other lovely antique pieces from runs an importing business in Brisbane (called urban maison).  He is a really nice guy with some great things and he ships all over Australia.  Anyway, the broken leg on my chair resulted from some poor transport by allied and simon, the owner of UM wasn't sure who to recommend in Melbourne to fix it.  I thought I might send him your details so that he could recommend your services to his clients in future, as with these old pieces something inevitably breaks....or needs a bit of work down the track

Hello George,

I just wanted to say once again, thank you so much for the way in which you repaired and restored my Mother’s Writing Desk.

Both my Mother and I have not been able to stop looking at it. It is so wonderful to actually see the wood and the grain and not the “red-brown paint” and “plastic finish”.

Now I can’t wait to have our dining room table and chairs (4) and the buffet repaired and restored and french polished by you. Believe it or not I have even started to remove and pack away the items in the buffet.  I sincerely hope our renovation starts soon so that I may concentrate on the cosmetic tasks.

The coffer arrived today.Michele and I are very happy with it and it is already making it's presence felt with its great size,colouration,patina and ornamentation.If you ever come across a smaller coffer(about 1/2 this one's size) with similar traits and a panelled top please let us know.Michele is also interested in acquiring some ornamentally carved oak mural panels of similar vintage and character.Again thank you George,it has been a pleasure.
